Rehabilitation

Boarding:
We offer everything from standard pasture board where your horse can live out and be a horse to complete rehabilitative care with hand walking, wrapping, and massage therapy. We also offer numerous options for day, week, and monthly boards. Rates are based on individual requirements.

Bodywork:
In addition to her knowledge of standard rehabilitative care, Karry is also certified in equine sports massage therapy and can offer an individualized plan to help your horse on its way to recovery.

In-Hand Work:
Correct movement can go a long way toward recovery. Often, a horse will move in a compensatory manner, which will delay recovery. In-hand work can help teach the horse to move properly.

Treatment Programs:
Emerald-Glen considers all aspects of a horse’s care, including nutrition, veterinary directives, farrier care, bodywork, in-hand movement, and other homeopathic therapies to set the horse up for success during recovery.

Facilities:
We have a cozy historic converted dairy barn with a large hayloft that stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. There is a 100 x 230 arena with sand footing, access to beautiful trails, a 90-foot round pen, an individual rehabilitation paddock with sand footing, and acres of paddocks and pastures.

The traditionally boarded horses are on day turnout from Columbus Day to Memorial Day and night turnout from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Our rehabilitation boarders will be turned out according to the owner’s specifications.
