Training

"The slower you go, the faster you get there," is our philosophy when it comes to training.  Each step on the training scale is thoroughly understood by the horse before we progress further. We've found that this approach helps the horse solidify their foundation in the basics which then allows us to build and progress faster in training than if we pushed them to their full potential before they were ready.  This prevents any gaps in the horse's education that can present themselves as behavior or training issues later on.

Pony Parties

We provide three horses and leaders for one hour of pony rides. We also provide a canopy for shade and an arts and crafts project for the youngsters. For active children, we offer grain sack races if necessary! Cake and refreshments need to be provided by you, but we know a great caterer if you need one. Cost is $250 for 6 children or fewer. For more, please let us know and we'll give you an individual quote.

Boarding

Emerald Glen offers full board for $375 a month. Our services include all day turnout from Labor Day to Memorial Day, and all night turnout from Memorial Day to Labor Day. All our pastures have run-in sheds.  We feed Blue Seal grain and timothy/grass hay.  We have twelve box stalls in the barn and a heated tack room for your convenience.

We currently have one stall available so please contact us for details.

Membership

There are a large number of people with "Backyard horses" out there. Karry was one of them when she was growing up and the one thing she wished was that she had access to a training facility where she could come and go as she pleased.

So we are offering a "Membership" to Emerald Glen Equestrian Center.  It will obviously be more valuable when we get an indoor ring, but in the mean time we are opening our doors to the equestrian community for $50 a month.  This comes with a set of rules and release forms, and your horse must be perfectly healthy with an updated coggins, so please contact us for details.

Showing

We will be hosting a variety of horse shows at our farm this year which include dressage, games, beginners, jumpers, hunters, and hopefully even some medieval games!  We also attend many local shows around the area.  Please see our calendar for our current schedule.
